Italy’s UniCredit said it is conducting its own probe in relation to the Capital of A data breach

MILAN (Reuters) – Italy’s biggest bank by assets, UniCredit, said on Wednesday it was carrying out its own investigation in relation to a major data breach at capital one Financial Corp. (a).

“On July 30, and UniCredit became aware that his name has been mentioned in relation to the Capital of An issue.

“UniCredit has been in contact with the relevant authorities and is actively involved in investigating the matter,” UniCredit said in a statement.

The bank gave no further details.

Capital One, said this week that the 106 million people who had applied for credit cards in the United States and Canada have had their personal details in the event.
