ROME (Reuters) – The government will have to take into account the views of the parliamentary security committee, who said that Rome would have to consider the occurrence of the Chinese telecom operators from developing countries to Italy, a 5G network, an official said on Friday.
The influential committee, which is known as the Copasir, it said on Thursday, worried that Huawei and ZTE may be a security risk when it comes to the installation and maintenance of the 5G networks, can be justified.
“The government will not be able to ignore the advice of the Copasir to the risks related to 5G technology in the field of national security,” said office of secretary of state at the Riccardo Fraccaro.
