Italy and Nexi said data from about 18,000 to alleged customers posted

MILAN (Reuters) – Details of 18,000 people said that the customers of the Italian payments company, Nexi, have been published on an external website, but no financial details were disclosed, Nexi said on Tuesday.

The company said in a statement that will not be in breach of its IT systems had been discovered, and that, in many cases, the published data do not agree with Nexi in the records.

It is said that the source of the message, it either has to be removed, it is anonymous, and that the incident had been reported to the appropriate authorities.
