Italian soprano Daniela Dessi died

The Italian soprano Daniela Dessi is at the age of 59 died. She is on a “short, terrible and incomprehensible” disease in Brescia died.

That explained her partner, Italian tenor Fabio Armiliato, the news agency Ansa. “The greatest opera singer of the last twenty years is passed away.”

Dessi was in Genoa born and lived on the Lake. She had engagements with the major opera houses, including la Scala in Milan and the met in New York. Her repertoire ranged from Rossini about Mozart to Verdi and Puccini. She has also worked with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta and Riccardo Muti. (Belga)
