Italian restaurants give money to earthquake-stricken city

Italian restaurants are called on to donate money to the earthquake-stricken town of Amatrice.

On various menus of Italian restaurants all over the world to the town named dish spaghetti all’amatriciana. A foodblogger calls restaurants within a portion of the proceeds from that dish to donate.

The Guardian writes Thursday about the initiative. More than six hundred restaurants in Italy have committed to join. Several restaurants have also pledged part of the proceeds of other dishes, such as Pizza Amatriciana, to donate.
