Israeli military appeal again in prison for death of Palestinian
An Israeli soldier to a wounded Palestinian doodschoot, in appeal no sentence remissions.
The chairman of the military court called the actions of soldier Elor Azariah “forbidden and immoral” and continued the previously imposed sentence of eighteen months in prison.
Azariah released last year, the 21-year-old Abdul Fatah al-Sharif to life in Hebron. He had with one of the other Palestinian, an Israeli soldier stabbed. The other attacker was immediately shot dead, al-Sharif was wounded and could not move when Azariah him minutes later by the head shot.
The activist filmed the death of the Palestinian man sparked in Israel and the Palestinian territories to great commotion. Supporters of Azariah also went Sunday to the streets. His mother had an Israeli flag around herself beaten.
The Palestinian authorities had previously just declared eighteen months in prison, far too few to find. That would be Israeli military “green light” to give with impunity to murder. Azariah, that guilty was found, to murder, had twenty years in prison.
