Israel says Nazi camp excavations unearth a link to Anne Frank


JERUSALEM – Israel’s Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, according to researchers excavating the remains of one of the most infamous Nazi death camps have discovered a pendant that appears identical to the belongs to Anne Frank.

Yad Vashem says Sunday examined the pendant belonged to Caroline Cohn, a Jewish girl who perished in Sobibor, may have known of the famous diarist. As Frank Cohn was born in Frankfurt in 1929. The researchers will try to confirm whether they were related.

The Israel Antiquities Authority, has the run of the excavations in the former camp in Poland since 2007 and has already discovered that the gas chamber foundations and the original platform.
