IS in Sinai responsible for missile attack on Israeli resort town of Eilat
The Islamic State affiliated group Province of Sinai has the responsibility demanded for the firing of three rockets at the Israeli resort of Eilat Wednesday afternoon.
That report various media on Thursday.
The rockets were held by the so-called Iron Dome, the Israeli missile defence system. No one was in the attack injured.
In a message on the encrypted berichtenapp Telegram, which frequently IS used, warns the group from Sinai: “What will follow is more severe and bitter.”
The tensions along the border with the Gaza strip ran earlier this week after a number of rockets were fired at southern Israel. Israel answered this with a number of attacks on Hamas targets. Sources within the government indicated opposite Haaretz about a possible new geweldsescalatie within a number of months.
