“The whole band enjoy this tour and although we love to play at festivals and in stadiums, it is great for a number of shows to return to the more intimate atmosphere of the arenas,” says Maiden founder and bassist Steve Harris. ‘The songs of the album “the Book of Souls’ and the new Maya-based versions of our Eddie be well-liked by our fans. And of course we bring them a lot of old songs. We will also continue to do so.’
Iron Maidens world tour, also under the heading of ‘The Book of Souls’, was in February kicked off in Florida and reached some 1.5 million fans from 36 different countries. In the spring of 2017 there are a total of 16 European cities, of which only four on the mainland. For the opening concert, on Saturday 22 april, attracts the metalgezelschap to the City: the antwerp Sportpaleis.
