iPhone sales lead to record, in Texas, officials say

A 14-year-old boy was shot in Texas on Thursday while trying to sell an iPhone to someone he met online, authorities said.

The teenager was with two adult friends, one of whom was pregnant, went to a meeting at a location in order to sell it to a potential buyer, whom he met on Instagram, about 1 hour, But at a certain point in the transaction, the situation took a violent turn, according to KHOU.

The person who has the intention to buy the phone, who allegedly pulled out a gun and started shooting at the three men, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.

The teen suffered a gunshot wound to the hand, while one of his adult friends, a man, was grazed in the back. The back of the other friend, a pregnant woman, was not injured in the shooting, officials said.

The researchers said that they were looking for a suspect in a gray vehicle following the shooting.
