International collaboration between fashion institutes in Maastricht

From Maastricht, a dialogue between creative talent to promote, on the occasion of the Maastricht Conference on the Cultural and Creative Industries(MCCCI)is a partnership on legs gezettussen Forza Fashion House Maastricht (FFH), Made2Measure, Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design (MAFAD) and London College of Fashion (LCF).

Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 september 2016 are not only (inter)national guest speakers and experts in Maastricht for the MCCCI. Also Bella Gonshorovitz, Michelle Muirhead and Carmen Ludwig of the renowned London College of Fashion are on the guest list.

They are in partnership with the FFH, research project Made2Measure and the MAFAD the special project C3: Diversity on legs. Thus, they want the borders of their cities go together to do research. The goal? From similar (a socially committed) projects and in line with MCCCI and Made2Measure to build a sustainable creative network in Maastricht and that with international players to strengthen the field of knowledge, research, experience, and vision.

In addition to the LCF designers represent Maarten van Mulken, Ebby Port, and Victoria Sophie Keller the city of Maastricht in the project. The 3 ‘mixed-up Maastricht & London teams at the academy for two days to the battle and combine their strengths, knowledge, creativity and vision around the theme of ‘Diversity’.

Then, during the congress ‘Everyone is an Artist’ on Tuesday 27 september at 16.00 in the Centre Céramique in the presence of the audience, the final result presented to the jury, consisting of o.a. Carolyn Mair, Branko Popovic and Marcel van kan (MAFAD). Also, some of the designers ‘creations will be showcased during the congress in Centre Céramique and presents Carolyn Mair, a workshop on Psychology of Fashion’.
