Intelligence service will get more powers in Switzerland
The Swiss have Sunday in a referendum, the intelligence service more powers given.
According to the forecast of the national tv-station SRF has 66 percent of the voters voted for a new law, which in individual cases makes it possible to phone tapping, eavesdropping equipment in homes and on the computers to break.
To the privacy of citizens ‘ electronic to be allowed to enter, permission is needed from it at the government office for security and the Public Ministry.
Opponents of the law, which the parliament last year, already launched in the fight against terrorism, warned that the path would lead to a “snuffelstaat”. A large majority found, however, that the government is not “deaf and blind” to the threat of militias and other violent organizations.
The population said “no” to a greener economic system and increase pensions. The Green y had taken the initiative for a comprehensive, ecological reorganisation of the Swiss economy. The goal was an overall “circular economy” in 2050, with pure, sustainable products and recycling of waste.
More than 60 percent saw Sunday. The government and the entrepreneurs found it a sympathetic proposal, but harmful for the economy.
An almost equally large majority opposed vakbondsplan the statutory state pension by 10 percent increase. It would be the average AOW’per month 200 francs (€185) to be more effective.
The Swiss proved, however, to realize that even the enforcement of the benefits at the current level is already a huge job.
