Injured world champion Herlings wants MXGP-comeback, not rush it

Motorcrosser Jeffrey Herlings wants to quietly take time for his comeback in the MXGP class. The world champion is struggling for a while with a broken foot.

Last week, it became clear that Herlings in any case until the end of april will need rehabilitation and a new world title out of his head. A richtdatum for his comeback, he wants not to call.

“The season is already to fucked with the eye on the world championships, so I have to wait and do well to heal,” said the 24-year-old Dutchman on Monday in the Ziggo Sports-program pep talk.

“Of course I want to be as quickly as possible come back, but it must be lawful and realistic. When I come back, I want to do it with a bang.”

Won last year Herlings seventeen of the nineteen races and picked up with force majeure and the world title in the king’s class of motorsport. “I was superdominant and now wants to not come back, and then for the tenth place drive.”
