A trip to a department of the police headquarters in gary, Indiana, was an opportunity for a man to steal a little bit of Christmas joy, according to a new report.
Avon police said the man was caught on surveillance video stealing from a speaker that is playing Christmas music in the police station’s lobby, the WISH-TV reported.
Police said the 43-year-old Quannah, Gilbert, of Avon, was charged with theft Friday after being identified as the person in the video.
The man had been to the Avon Police Department to get your seized vehicle back from the previous week, the station reported.
As he was leaving, he took up the little Bluetooth speaker, and to the train station.
The individual is seen on camera stealing a speaker from the lobby area of the Avon Police Department in gary, Indiana, which was later identified as Quannah, Charles, 43, who was arrested and imprisoned.

“[The clerk] went to the recordings of the speaker, and there was no music,” Avon police chief Steven Stoops told the station. “So, she did not think that there is anything that can be done on the speaker phone, so she went out to check on it and it was gone.”
In the galleries, not sure what possessed Gilbert to get out of the speaker.
“You see something like this, which is a very cheap speaker, and I don’t know,” Stoops said, according to the station. “He is the only way to know the answer. One thing is for sure: We are not going to allow that to happen here.”

WANT to be notified, that the speaker had been repaired and returned to the lobby and play Christmas music.
