Trump welcomed “the heroes of immigration enforcement”
President Trump welcomes, ICE and Border Patrol agents, the White house would like to thank you for your service.
In a special ceremony at the White house on Monday, President Donald Trump, two agencies – immigration and customs enforcement Department of homeland security and customs and border protection authority – honored, calling its members “incredibly courageous patriots that keep America safe.”
The “Salute to the Heroes” event was held with the two agencies in the center of a national debate about dealing with the influx of families and unaccompanied children at the U.S.-Mexican border.
“American is a country of opportunities, because we are a nation of laws,” Trump said, “For America, a strong people, we have strong boundaries.”
Trump took aim at opponents-including Democratic leaders and immigration-advocacy groups — tighter border security. He saw them as not grounded in the reality that the control of immigration at the borders and the interior is critical to law and order and security.
Trump called it the “open border exrtremists” , “you have no courage, they have no guts, they just have big, loud mouths.”
They are patriots, and they are the heroes. You keep us safe and keep us free. I feel very honored to serve each day, as your Commander-in-Chief. I’ll never leave your side I will never leave the battle.

Trump highlighted the important achievements, which had reached the agents of both ICE and CBP, including the rescue of 78 smuggled are migrants.found in a sealed refrigerated tractor-trailor at a border crossing earlier this month, the arrest of more than 100,000 criminals, the denial of entry of about 10 known or suspected terrorists every day; and in a single operation, the arrest of more than 300 members of the brutal MS-13 gang
“They are patriots, and they are the heroes,” he said to the room full of agents. “You keep us safe and keep us free. I feel very honored to serve each day, as your Commander-in-Chief. I’ll never leave your side, I’ll never leave the fight.”
“I thank you for your service,” he said. “You really are incredible people.”
The President accused the Democrats, make it difficult to change policies and laws that create sanctuary cities and discourage the local authorities, including the police, from working with ICE. But he expressed confidence that more stringent measures are decided and implemented.
In addition to representatives from ICE and CBP, the members of the National Sheriffs’ Association took part in the event.

A law enforcement official who attended told Fox News that he wanted to show his support and gratitude to ICE and CBP, which is to say that they help keep his community in Massachusetts safer.
“ICE cream plays an important added value in our communities, working with us and to ensure that people arrested by the local police not released back into the local communities, to our citizens in danger and law enforcement in danger, tried to track you down,” said Bristol County (Mass.) Sheriff Thomas Hodgson.
“There are thousands of people in our prison are there told, under false identities, there are gangs,” Hodgson. “ICE cream helps to identify ourselves, people we wanted to know from you who came back (illegally) into the country several times, and we don’t know, are a danger to the communities.”
The White House event comes after Trump has always defended and isolated from ICE, in particular for the enforcement of the immigration laws.
ICE and CBP have come under fire from the critics, which was implemented this year after a “zero-tolerance” policy, in response to a wave on the border, resulted in the separation of children from their parents.
U.S. district judge Dana Sabraw in June ordered that children under the age of five are back with their parents, 14 days, and for children five and older to be inside again within 30 days.
The order came days after the trump is stopped color, and the zero-tolerance policy. As A Aug. 16, had the government of the United 2,089 children with their parents or other persons, including sponsors. Almost 600 children were separated, including 366 with the parents outside of the United States
“Only the White house would give medals for the thousands of immigrant children from their parents,” said Tom Jawetz, vice president for immigration policy at the left leaning Center for American Progress, Politically, “and continuing to arrest hundreds of orphaned children, despite a court order.”
Some Democrats have called for the abolition of ICE cream together, while others have criticized the move, saying it will hurt you in the mid-term elections, by saying it is ammunition for those who, you want open borders.
Defender ICE and CBP to say that you just do your work, and that frustration should be aimed at the Congress due to overhaul immigration laws.
“This is a great event, also for the prosecution, because the President has been very supportive,” said Hodgson. “He was very outspoken about the law enforcement and for the ICE agents and Border Patrol agents have been attacked, it is a great morale-booster, we have a Commander-in-Chief, is behind us.”
At a Cabinet meeting recently, Trump ICE cream and other praised the immigration laws to enforce.
“They are great people,” he said, according to published reports. “You are brave. You are strong. They are tough. And they are good. They are good people. And you think, to send they are going to take care of ordinary people, MS-13 and gangs? Is not going to happen. So I want to thank, only, ICE cream, and everyone in the law enforcement for the incredible work you have done and will do.”
Last month, Trump tweeted: “Every day, the brave men and women of ICE communities of wild gangs like MS-13 free. We will NOT stand for these vile Democrat smears in law enforcement. We will always proudly stand with the BRAVE HEROES of ICE and BORDER PATROL!”
