(Ap) – Amazon.com Inc said on Friday it plans to make in the first fulfillment center in Quebec city next year, and is expected to employ more than 300 full-time employees.
The facility will pack and ship items ranging from toys to electronics, the company said.
In September, the company announced it will open its sixth fulfillment center in Ontario, canada.
Rival, Shopify Inc., is the reinforcement of the supply network, and is intended to be $1 billion to the fulfillment centers.
Seattle-based Amazon now has more than 2,000 full-time employees in the existing Ontario facilities in Brampton, Mississauga and Milton. All In all, the company has more than 6,000 employees, in Canada.
