A Minnesota father is accused of killing his own daughter when he was in his mobile home burned down after a dispute over a 22-year-old is going to have to move out.

John Star, 46, has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly setting fire to the house he shared with Jamey, Newport, in Paynesville, a town about 95 miles north of Minneapolis.

John, Newport, was reportedly in his mobile home on fire after he and his daughter, Jamey, fought over her plans to go out, prosecutors said.

On the 23rd of July, and Jamey called authorities to say her father was a drop of gas in their mobile home and are planning to light it on fire, KSTP reported. When the police arrived, the house was on fire, and John was outside, the indictment alleges.

Fire-fighters all over the house, found Jamey in. She was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead.

The assistant to the public prosecutor for Stearns County, said, just in front of the fire, John said on Facebook that he intended to burn the mobile home down.

Her bail was set at $2 million for the cost of a first-degree arson and second-degree murder. A district court is set for Aug. 5.
