‘Immigration and asylum Turkish soldiers by Greece rejected’
Greece has the asylum applications of three Turkish soldiers rejected. That have sources from the Greek police said Wednesday.
The three are part of a group of eight Turkish soldiers who their country after the failed coup in July led to.
The eight, who deny something they had experienced with the couppoging, flew on July 16 in a Black Hawk-helicopter to Greece and asked for asylum there. However, they were arrested and convicted for illegally entering Greece. Turkey has to ensure the delivery of the eight requested, and calls them “traitors” and “terrorist elements”.
The three of whom now the asylum application has been rejected are not sufficiently proven that they were not involved in the couppoging, according to the sources. The lawyer of the military has already indicated that they will appeal against the verdict.
