Warning, graphic content: Rare glimpse of white shark predation
Raw video: Researchers with the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy to include close-up images of the great white shark seal kill about 100 metres from the beach off Wellfleet, Massachusetts.
Rare video footage captures the moment a shark attacks a seal off the coast of Cape Cod, turning the water red.
The video, which was posted on YouTube by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, shows a research vessel approaching the shark. When the researchers the reach of the predator, launched the bloody attack on the seal.
“The research team took these close-up images of a seal predation in clear water approximately 100 metres from the beach off Wellfleet, MA,” explained the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, a post on the YouTube video.

The video gives a rarely seen window into the world of the Atlantic white shark in Cape Cod waters,” he said.
Sharks are in the spotlight at the moment. Last week, a shark bit a Texas man, who was rushed to the hospital. Last month two children were bitten by sharks from Atlantique Beach and Sailors Still in Long Island.

Earlier this month a man from Massachusetts, recorded stunning video of a shark jumping out of the water with its mouth wide open.
