Speaking to an Illinois legislator to the media about the issue of pigeon poop at the train station in Chicago pooped on by a pigeon mid-interview.

State REP Jaime Andrade, D-Chicago, was discussing the problem with WBBM-TV reporter outside the Irving Park Blue Line station, when the bird sprung into action.

“Oh, I just got… no, I didn’t… I didn’t, I? I have a little bit,” Andrade, the reporter in a story told released on Monday, feeling the bird feces on his head. “I’m just going to go clean. … This is what is happening in my constituency. You get s— on all the time.”

The walkways outside of the station are covered in bird waste and feathers.

Andrade said that he is trying to fix the problem. One of his ideas is the question the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) to install a hose Assembly for a power wash, when it constructs the new escalators at the station.

A CTA driver, Derek Barthel, told WBBM that after the news stations reported on the issue, over the summer, the station was washed, but “then nothing happened.”

Andrade said that in the year 2018, he asked for $6 million in the state budget for the Irving Park-Blue Line.

“This is the error when I said literally 6 million dollars to Irving Park-Blue Line,” he told the news outlet. “The funds are for the CTA Blue Line, and so well, and with the means, where it came from, can only be used for the construction.”

The problematic question is the actual train station, and is managed by the Illinois Department of Transportation. The sidewalk, the pigeons pooping on hold, allegedly, is under the jurisdiction of the city of Chicago.

The legislator said that the money voted and approved to Fund at a meeting three weeks ago, the new escalators at the station.
