Hipp on IG report: Chaos will follow if Horowitz testifies

The country is still digesting, the Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s devastating report on the FBI and the Department of justice’s handling of the Hillary Clinton E-Mail investigation, but more bombshells could be emerging, the same team of investigators.

Horowitz, a former Federal Prosecutor, announced in March that he will be released to probe allegations of government surveillance, abuse, light-memos, on Capitol Hill about the FBI and DOJ efforts to obtain FISA warrants to Trump campaign consultant Carter guards-page as part of your Russia-investigation.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, said U.S. attorney John Huber investigates claims of FBI and DOJ misconduct in connection with these measures, noting that Huber “would be the implementation of its work from outside the Washington, DC area, and “in cooperation” with Horowitz.

Not much else known is about Horowitz’, although in March, the inspector general’s office said it “will consider including other issues that may occur in the course of the examination” if the circumstances justify it. The Clinton review lasted about 18 months.

Strzok role in Clinton, Russia-probes in the focus

On Thursday, Horowitz of his nearly 600-page report published questioning the actions of the numerous characters that played an important role in the Ministry of justice and the FBI investigation of Clinton’s E-Mail practices, while she was foreign Minister. This report explicitly, the former FBI Director, James Comey, FBI criticized-officials Peter Strzok, Obama’s attorney General Loretta Lynch and former FBI assistant Director Andrew McCabe, as well as other officials.

During the reporting instances of bias or the appearance of bias – Horowitz cited ‘ s report found “no evidence that the conclusions of the prosecutors were concerned that bias or other improper considerations.”

But the report made clear, it was spoken only to the Clinton investigation. Most of the officials criticized in the Thursday report, also played a significant role in the early days of the Russia-probe, dealing with the question of whether someone on the trump campaign, coordinated with Russia in the election in 2016.

“Most of my fellow citizens would say, Yes, I want to know what Russia will do to us in 2016, I would like to but also the person who is out to find and investigate, to be free of prejudice and free of foreign taste,” the house Oversight and government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S. C., said Thursday on Fox News’ “Special Report”.

One of the most beautiful insights concerns the texts between agent Peter Strzok and office-colleague Lisa page.

According to the report, page Strzok texted in August 2016 and said: “[the trombone] not to ever become President, right? Right?!”

“No. No he is not. We will finish it,” Strzok answered.

Strzok was a senior investigator in the Clinton case, and later the Russia-investigation, before notification of the assignment.

On Friday, President Trump’s goal took on Strzok, indicating that its role in the Russian probe.
