(Reuters) – Hyundai Motor Co said on Thursday it would invest in self-driving car’s software to start up the Aurora, along with Kia Motors Corp. in order to speed up the development of autonomous vehicle technologies.
“With the new investment, the companies have agreed to extend the research to a wide range of models and build the optimal platform for Hyundai’s and Kia’s, autonomous vehicles, and Hyundai, he said.
The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
Aurora, which has just announced a partnership with Fiat Chrysler automobiles, is in competition with the English Alphabet, it is Waymo, and General Motors, ” a majority of Cruises, among others.
