David Furnish, husband of Elton John, and producer of Rocketman, was afraid of the reaction of his partner on the film. This he tells Page Six at the premiere in New York.
“I was terrified, it’s such a huge responsibility,” says Furnish about the time that he was with the singer for the first time, the movie as a whole looked at. “It was by far the most frightening moment of my life when I was next to him, sat down.”
Furnish had his doubts about the making of the film when he was John’s response after the movie saw. “He was so deeply affected, that I almost thought that we made the film better had not be able to make. He was hysterically crying. It flowed all through him,” says the film producer.
The film Rocketman about the life of Elton John went on 30 may in the Netherlands in premiere. The main role is played by Taron Egerton.
