BUDAPEST (Reuters) – Hungary will co-operate with the Chinese telecom giant Huawei in the construction of high-speed 5G network, with the Minister of Foreign affairs Peter Szijjarto said at an event in China, the national news agency MTI reported on Tuesday.
Szijjarto said the Smartphone would be working together with Vodafone and Deutsche Telekom in the 5G roll-out. Hungary has launched its 5G invitation to tender, in the month of June.
Earlier this year, the Innovation and Technology of prime Minister Laszlo Palkovics told Reuters that Hungary had no proof that the equipment of the Huawei posed a threat to the safety and security.
