Hundreds of thousands without power in Florida due to hurricane Matthew

In the U.s. state of Florida sitting approximately 600,000 households without power since hurricane Matthew Friday afternoon to land. There are no reports yet of casualties. The death toll in Haiti as a result of the hurricane has now risen to 572.

The governor of Florida Rick Scott states that the next few hours more power outages will occur in the southern state. “The worst part is yet to come,” he said Friday. Along the coast are flooding reported. Also around Jacksonville, the largest city of Florida, is the chance of flooding is large, said Scott.
