Hundreds of thousands of Mexicans demonstrate against gay marriage
In Mexico Saturday, hundreds of thousands of people take to the streets merged to demonstrate against the same-sex marriage. According to the organizers of the demonstration were some 300,000 people on the streets.
The protesters are against a bill for same-sex marriages throughout the country.
In Mexico City, Veracruz and Puebla were protest marches walked by conservative groups that have the support of several archbishops.
The Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto wants a constitutional amendment to implement. It is any form of discrimination punishable, equal rights for everyone are guaranteed and means, inter alia, the legalisation of gay marriage in all of Mexico. Now is that only in the capital and in three of the 31 federal states allowed.
