Hundreds of arrests in actions against the PKK
The Turkish police in various operations throughout the country more than five hundred people arrested. They are suspected of having ties with the banned Kurdish movement PKK.
Among the detainees are also members of the pro-Kurdish opposition party HDP. The Turkish government will see the HDP as an extension of the PKK.
The police did raids in 25 provinces, and took in a total of 544 people, according to the state news agency Anadolu on Tuesday.
