“As part of the initial examination of [the] Richmond, va, Police Department, and the three men last seen with the Atlanta Spurlock has been identified and is being interviewed, one of which was David Sparks,” Sammy told reporters.

“The study shows that the Savannah Spurlock was given at the home of David Sparks, during the morning hours of January 5th.”

Purdy added that in Sparks, 23, of Lancaster, Ky., was arrested early Thursday morning in connection with the recovery of the Savannah Spurlock’s body).”

“As a result of the investigation, the more information we have, based on their location, and where it was located in the building, we felt that it was an abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence, it was an expense that we have to be able to really charge it this morning,” Sammy told reporters, adding that the other two men were not immediately charged.

“After the discovery of the body early in the morning and late at night, we’re still pretty early on in the investigation,” Sammy told reporters. “In the coming days and weeks, there’s going to be a lot of questions that we still have to answer them.”

The arrest citation said that, in addition to the human remains, the researchers found “evidence believed to be connected to a missing persons case,” which was last known to be in control of the missing person, and the Sparks.
