Huge ancient building discovered in Egypt

The building was discovered in the town of Mit Rahina, 12 miles south of Cairo

Archaeologists have discovered a “huge” building that was once part of Egypt’s ancient capital.

Experts discovered the building, which measures 56 feet by 48 feet, in the town of Mit Rahina, 12 miles south of Cairo.

Mostafa Waziri, secretary-general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, says that the building is likely to be a part of the building in the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis.

In a Facebook post, the egyptian Antiquities Ministry said archaeologists also discovered an enclosed building that is equipped with a large Roman bath and a room probably used for religious rituals.

The huge coffin, which was unearthed in the city of Alexandria, was found to contain three skeletons, and golden plates with the remains. The tomb also dates back to the Ptolemaic era.
