HTC is considering selling VR-division Vive’

Techbedrijf HTC is considering for its VR-branch Vive to sell.
Tell sources familiar with the plans to Bloomberg. There would also be assessed to see if Vive is an independent company can be, which is partly in the hands of HTC. HTC would include Google in the conversation about the possible future of Vive.
A full sale of its parent company, HTC would be difficult, because there are few large parties where the smartphonemaker well connected. It is, therefore, especially regarding Vive are spoken.
By Vive a private company and the shares to be share with another party, it would according to the sources, may be easier for an interested party to find. The insiders stress that the talks are still at an early stage. HTC would still be able to choose to have nothing to do.
HTC saw the last few years, market value evaporation of up to 1.8 billion dollars. That was five years earlier, yet four times that amount. The market share of HTC in the smartphone market is currently less than 2 percent.
HTC was founded in 1997. In 2002, concluded a contract with Microsoft to make phones with Windows as operating system. After that, it was one of the world’s main players in the market for mobile phones. Now dominate Apple and Samsung, the market for expensive phones, while the middle segment and the budgetmarkt be governed by Chinese companies such as Huawei.
