HTC brings VR-glasses with oogtracking on the market for 1,649 ofce euro

HTC has the virtualrealitybril Vive Pro Eye in the Netherlands for 1,649 ofce euros. That makes the company Wednesday known.

The Vive Pro Eye is the latest version of the HTC Vive, the VR-glasses are from HTC. The device used oogtracking to exactly register where users to watch.

This has the advantage that the glasses parts of the screen to focus on the basis of where the wearer is looking at. The area around it is in lower resolution and is therefore smooth. That is similar to the way the human eye works. An advantage is that the glasses less computing power need to be the sharp image to show.

The Vive Pro Eye, just like the previous Vive Pro, with a cable to a computer linked. The device offers a resolution of 1440×1660 pixels per eye, and refreshes the pictures ninety times per second. The field of view of the Vive Pro Eye is 110 degrees.

According to HTC, the glasses in particular intended for companies. “With more effective training to more insightful data analysis; provides professional users with the tools and the way in which we are VR continue to work to improve.”

The glasses was the beginning of this year presented on the technology fair CES in Las Vegas. At the time, the price and availability is not yet known.
