Data breaches have unfortunately become commonplace these days, with some of the most horrific events to millions of people. Quite possibly the worst ever, it was the breach of a Yahoo that has been done over a period of about four years of age.
Yahoo has allowed more than 3 billion of the accounts that were compromised in that period of time, and now the company is close to settling a multi-million-dollar class-action lawsuit. And, you may be entitled to compensation.
Speaking of money, a reader, recently took my advice and looked for unclaimed money. In a couple of weeks, he got a check for over $25,000. There may be money waiting for you to claim. Tap or click here to see 4 places to look for money that you are due.
If you have a Yahoo account, for a specified period of time, you may be eligible to receive a cash payment. Depending on the circumstances, the payment can be ranging from $100 up to $25,000.
The Class-action suit payouts

I am a case in point: I just received a check for almost $ 1,400. Tap or click here to see the class action lawsuits to be paid out now for smartphones and tablets.
In an e-mail will be sent to the user, as Yahoo revealed it has received preliminary approval from a judge to a $117.5 million settlement. The class-action lawsuit stems from a series of the offences between 2012 and 2016. Here’s what happened:
In 2012, Two separate hackers have access to Yahoo’s internal systems, but not all of it.
2013 the Hackers got into the Yahoo database, and took the records out of about 3 billion accounts by the end-users. The fight could have been much worse if hackers have gotten in to the users ‘ e-mail accounts, calendars, and contacts.
2014 — Hackers are back in Yahoo’s database and stole the names, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, birthdays, passwords, and security questions and answers from the 500 million of users and accounts.

Depending on the circumstances, some of the Yahoo users will be able to be as much as $25,000. For that, a lot of it, you would have to prove that you will have to spend the time and money to deal with the problems caused by the hacking, including the theft of your identity. Millions of Americans have filed claims to receive $125, offered by Equifax, as part of a $425 million settlement with the u.s. Federal Trade Commission over a massive data breach in march of 2017. Consumers stampeded to claim their $125, not knowing that there was a $31 million cap on cash advances.
The pool of money is quickly dropped, and the consumer will have to make do with just a few dollars or opt for a free of charge credit monitoring. The same thing could happen to Yahoo.
However, if you want to try your luck on the cash, you can visit the Yahoo action web site and fill out the application form that apply to you. You have until may 20, 2020, to the game of your claim. Do it now, while you’re at it, think about it. Go to YahooDataBreachSettlement.com.
