A Texas man who jumped on the hood of his car, in a selfless attempt to stop a carjacker attempting to speed away with his wife, caught up in, ultimately, in the loss of both legs, the desperate, the criminals, who intentionally crashed the car, pinning the epic of man in between two cars, officials said.
The Houston police department responded to a gas station on Monday night after receiving reports of the injured man and the car-jacking.

According to Houston’s KHOU, the man, not immediately identified, was pulled in to the gas station at about 8:15 a.m. and leave for the Chevrolet Camaro with the motor and his wife are sitting on the inside.

Suddenly, a man jumped into the car and hit the gas — but it was not long before the young man said to be bounded on the hood of the car in action-hero style, trying to avoid the thief.

A man driving the minivan was treated for minor injuries, officials said. It was not clear from initial reports if the mini van was stopped or in motion at the time of the crash.
The crook, a description of those who are not immediately provided by police, fled the scene on foot and remained at large Tuesday.

From the first responders, who put a tourniquet around the injured man, who suffered serious wounds,” Houston police said. He was transported to an area hospital, and police say that he was going to lose one of his legs, Click2Houston reported.
The man’s wife was also taken to the hospital and treated for “less risk of injury.”
