Julia Roberts will star as Heidi Bergman in the new psychological thriller “Homecoming” celebrates this autumn.
Beverly Hills – Julia Roberts is off from its perch on the top of the hierarchy of the film royalty star in a TV series for the first time.
The Oscar-winning actress plays the role of Heidi Bergman, a caseworker that transitions soldiers back to civilian life in the new Amazon Studios original series “at Home.”
Roberts, 50, spoke with reporters at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour at The Beverly Hilton on Saturday about the mental obstacles that she had to endure during the shooting, and the overall attraction she felt in the direction of the roll.
“It was a big mental challenge every day,” she said. “And, I kind of like that. It was really the fuel a lot — how many pages we go through a day and to morrow, and it is a shot for all of them or do we do a few shots?”
She stresses, “It was weird — it was like the harder the task, the faster we accomplished it. It was very strange.”
In addition, Roberts revealed that she wasn’t actually watching a tv series if the opportunity presented itself, but it sounded like a great opportunity, because they do not see a big difference in television and film. They welcomed the extra time is a TV show allows for the development of the characters.
“I guess I didn’t really think of it as small screen, big screen. I don’t know — my tv is great,” she said. [There is] “more time to shoot and more time to unravel people”
She continued: “Everything is just so good, the bar is just as high, and for me it is just nice to have something to take in the houses of people. We are, as a delivery service — we are the supply of entertainment in your homes.”
