His first time on stage as a rally driver, in the run-up to the Dakar

Fernando Alonso did on Saturday, his first podium as a rallycoureur is achieved. The two-time world champion of Formula 1 and ended up with a navigator, Marc Coma, third in a five-day race in the United arab Emirates.

Alonso had hoped earlier in the year, for the first time, the Indianapolis 500, to win it, and thus the Triple Crown of Racing (win at the Grand Prix of Monaco and the 24 hours of Le Mans and the Indy 500 to win. A dramatic qualifying, if he is not, however, participate in the Indy 500.

The 41st edition of the Dakar Rally will be from the 5th to the 17th of January was held. The rally will, for the first time in eleven years in South America and being organized.
