Guus Hiddink is with China under-23 well on its way in the hunt for a ticket for the Olympic Games of 2020 in Tokyo. The Chinese won Sunday in Kuala Lumpur their second qualifier with less than 8-0 of the peers of the Philippines.
China was halfway already to a 5-0-lead by goals of Jinghang Hu (two times), Huanhuan Shan, Huang Cong and Liangming Lin and ran after peace to 8-0 thanks to hits from Yuning Zhang (two times), and Shan.
Zhang played in the first half of this season on a rental basis for ADO Den Haag and was in the past also under contract with Vitesse.
China began the kwalificatiecampagne Friday with a 5-0 victory at Laos and as a result with six points to lead group J, followed by Malaysia (also six points), Laos, and the Philippines (both two points).
China takes over the Tuesday against Malaysia and a draw was enough for the group profit to secure and to qualify for the Asian championship for players under 23 years.
