NEW ORLEANS – the U.S. coast guard officials say a helicopter was used for lifting a woman from a cruise ship 100 miles off the coast of Louisiana and bring her to the mainland for medical assistance.
The coast guard says it received a report from the cruise ship Vision of the Seas on Sunday, a 23-year-old woman had been suffering from suspected internal bleeding from an earlier incident.
A helicopter of the Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans and an airplane of the coast guard, Mobile, Alabama, on the basis were mobilized.
The coast guard said that the helicopter arrived at 10 pm, Sunday to pick up the woman and transport her to the Jefferson Medical Center in New Orleans.
The coast guard said that they had indicated that the steady-state conditions.
