Heavyweights of Dutch football to argue for bans artificial grass
A hundred leading figures from the Dutch football the KNVB and the clubs called for astroturf to be banned from the Premier league.
The initiative was taken by four current and former leaders of the Orange: Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, Ruud Gullit, Mark van Bommel.
“Everyone needs water to make concessions to financially come up with a solution,” says the current assistant-coach Gullit in AD Sportwereld, that Saturday a manifesto against artificial turf in the Premier league publishes. “This can be so no longer.”
Together have a hundred coaches, former players, trainers, internationals and captains the manifest signed. “The deadlock that’s lasted far too long,” said Van Bommel in the newspaper.
“Football on artificial turf is a totally different game. Assumptions, the ball tempo, duels: technically it is completely different than natural grass. It says everything that no topland participate in the kunstgrastrend.”
According to the signatories is artificial grass, that more and more Dutch professional clubs is used, harmful to the image, the level, the future and the face of us soccer.
