Head of border control U.S. calls wall border Mexico waste of money
The outgoing head of customs and border protection of the United States, Gil Kerlikowske, calls the wall that president Donald Trump wants to build at the border with Mexico a “waste of time and money”.
Kerlikowske told ABC that the wall, one of the most important election of Trump, is absurd. “I think anyone who is familiar with the terrain on the southwestern border realized that building a wall is probably not going to work,” said Kerliskowske.
According to Kerlikowske understand the proponents of the wall is not how it work in the end. “Immigrants, just by the border crossings, which are open. That is where we do our trading. People may just be at the border crossing report and to rely on laws that affect them should be protected.”
In addition to the costs for the building of the wall, also the costs for maintenance are very high. “I do not think that the building of the wall an executable plan. In addition, it is not the best way to make money intended for infrastructure, out of it.”
