Hawk in the Oval: John Bolton’s views rub off on Trump?

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump’s pick of John Bolton for his next national security adviser stirred up the same burning issue Friday in Washington, as in anxious foreign capitals: how much will his hawkish approach rub off on Trump?

As he confronts issues of war and peace with North Korea and Iran, Trump brings in a consultant chance to increase many of his own instinctive qualities. Bolton is known for his hard-hitting, fiercely nationalistic and eager to confront AMERICAN opponents.

In his first year in office, He surrounded himself with foreign policy tools that the views spanned a wide spectrum. Bolton’s pick rounds out of a team that in Trump’s second year, consists almost entirely of hawks whose publicly stated views on the national security spring to decide on the right.
