Hawaii-race: Ige; Tupola, Gabbard, case, win, win, win

Early results of the Hawaii democratic gubernatorial primary on Saturday showed Gov. David Ige holding off to keep a challenge from U.S. Rep Colleen Hanabusa in the race, his work.

On the Republican side, state Rep. Andria Tupola former state Senator John Carroll defeated for the party of the Governor elections vigorously.

Tupola said, Hawaii News Now, is that your goal “is at the end of the day, to serve the people.”

Hanabusa used the false alarm as a key camapaign issue against Ige.

A spokesman said Hanabusa, Hawaii News Now, despite the backlog, “I think we are going to finish strong.”

US house primaries

In the state’s U.S. house primaries, U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard won the democratic nomination in Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District.

In 1. District, former U.S. Rep. Ed case defeated Lieutenant Gov. Doug chin in the democratic race, while the candidate Cam Cavasso is the leading opponent Raymond Rene Vinole by a large margin on the Republican side.

Gabbard, Sherry Alu Campagna defeated, to represent their party’s candidate, rural Oahu and the neighbor Islands in Congress.

Campagna Gabbard for refusing to debate, they had criticized. Campagna mentioned Gabbard had argued in the past that the candidates participate should be in the debates, to present their positions and be held accountable for their opinions.

Gabbard was first elected to the U.S. house in 2012. It is one of the first female fight-to serve veterans in Congress. You deployed to Iraq and Kuwait with the Hawaii National Guard.

Gabbard will face singer Brian Evans of Maui in the General election in November. He ran unopposed for the Republican party nomination.

In Hawaii U.S. Senate race, Democratic incumbent Maize Hirono ran freely in its primary, while Ron Curtis led the Republican race.

In the Lieutenant Governor’s race, Democrat Josh Green leads in polls by a few percentage points, while Republicans Steve Lipscomb leads by a small margin.

The winners of most of the Democratic party primary race will win the favorites of the General election in November.
