Lawyers for the disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein having a charge of writing a script and creating a world where women are not held responsible for their own actions; Alex Hogan reports from Lower Manhattan.
Harvey Weinstein believed he was so great and powerful in Hollywood that he was treated for aspiring actresses, he was sexually abused as a “full range of disposables,” the public prosecutor pointed out during closing arguments at the N. Y. statutory rape trial on Thursday.
“The universe is run by me, and they don’t get to complain when they get stepped on, spit-up, demoralized, and, yes, being raped and abused by myself and the king,” Joan Illuzzi-Orbon said, ” the reproduction of Weinstein.
A TV monitor near the jury box, prosecutors displayed photos of the “Sopranos” actress, Annabella Sciorra, and five other prosecutors who also testified. Illuzzi told the jury that, apart from the successful Sciorra, and others are full of disposables. They were never going to be in the world.”

Illuzzi also showed a side-by-side comparison of Sciorra’s testimony about the confrontation, Weinstein is in the middle of the 1990’s, after he allegedly raped her, and similar testimony by a rape accuser on how the mogul had responded when she told him that she had a friend in 2013.
“His eyes were black, and at first I thought he was going to hit me,” Sciorra proportion. With the click of a button, and the rape accused, the witness has surfaced: “His eyes changed, and he wasn’t there. They were very black, and he tore me up.”
At times, He leaned back in his chair, moving forward and staring at a screen in front of the defense table, which mirrored what was shown on the seven men and five women on the jury during the three-hour-long executive summary.

Illuzzi, the closure comes a day after the defense offered in a lot, hourslong closing argument to paint the prosecution’s case as “a sinister tale” absence of evidence is needed in order to judge Weinstein.

Illuzzi halted on Friday due to the focus on the allegations made by Her Haleyi that the Weinstein’s violence performed oral sex on her in his apartment in the Soho district in 2006.

“When an adult goes to another adult in the home, they should expect that they will have to engage in sex?” the prosecutor asked. “To Harvey Weinstein’s house, she had to earn what they got?”
She added: “There are no blurred lines here. This is a crime, and a flagrant disregard for other people.”
The jury was sent home for the day, with a consultation set to begin on Tuesday.
Weinstein, 67, has been charged with the rape of a woman in a Manhattan hotel room in 2013, and with force, performing oral sex on a Haleyi in 2006. The Associated Press has a policy of not publishing the names of the people who claim sexual abuse without their consent; and it is the retention of the name of the rape accused, as it is not clear that they would like to be identified publicly.

Another woman recalled the Weinstein mocking, ” You’ll never make it in this business, and this is the way the industry works,” as she laughed off his advances.
