Hanna Bervoets wins the prize for young Dutch-speaking writers
Writer Hanna Bervoets (32) is the winner of the BNG literature prize 2016, reports her publisher Thursday. It is the second prize that Svenson this week. On Wednesday it was announced that the Kellendonkprijs is granted.
The BNG Bank literature prize is intended for young Dutch-speaking writers with a young oeuvre. The prize consists of 15,000 euros and a sculpture of Theo van Eldik. Svenson received the award Thursday afternoon in the Amstelkerk in Amsterdam.
In 2014 got Bervoets the Side prize for literature with Lieve Céline. Her most recent book is Ivanov. NRC Handelsblad proclaimed it to be one of the best novels of 2016. In april sees the release of her new novel Fuzzie.
