Handbalsters just back in Germany in the second practice duel in two days

The Dutch handbalsters have Saturday in Oldenburg a practice duel with Germany narrowly lost. The second friendly match in two days ended in a 29-28.

Orange, where the new coach Emmanuel Mayonnade for the second time sat on the sofa, looked halfway against a 19-12 retardation. After peace was on a comeback, but that was just not enough to lose to them.

Estavana Polman was the most productive Orange-team player with ten hits, followed by Martine Smeets (five), Laura van der Heijden (four), Dionne Visser (three), Lois Abbingh, Angela Malestein (both two), Dione Housheer and Kelly Vollebregt (both one).

Friday was the first of the two practice matches against the leader of the world ranking, however, a victory on. The meeting in Groningen ended in a 29-26 in favor of Orange, that the fourteenth state in the global ranking.

Orange embarked on a new period

The netherlands had in the training duels with Germany without Maura Visser and Nycke Groot do, recently, a point behind their interlandloopbaan. Captain Danick Snelder is also still injured.

Under Frenchman Mayonnade, which is known as a top coach, hope the handbalsters high eyes to throw at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS in november and the Olympic Games next year.

The German team is under the direction of head coach Henk Groener, who between 2009 and 2016 at the helm in Orange. In that period, he led the team to silver at the european CHAMPIONSHIPS and a fourth place at the Games.
