The Heartis Senior Living facility in Clear Lake, Texas, and is now ready for the trick-or-treaters.
The senior living center was recently posted to Facebook asking for candy donations so that the residents will be able to invite the community in to their home and give out candy on Halloween.

“We will miss giving candy to trick-or-treaters on Halloween,” one of their sides is to be read.
Another sign said, “Please, please help us reach our goal of collecting enough candy to invite the community into our home to provide a safe and fun place to trick or treat.”

Donations came in from all over the country, she told Fox 26.
“Every bit of this candy, to my mind, the love and support of our community,” she said.

The facility posted a video on Facebook to thank everyone for their donations.
The residents were thrilled to take part in the holiday, and now that they had bags of candy ready for the trick-or-treaters.
“[I] haven’t done this in a long, long time,” Ina Kramer told Fox 26. “I’m very happy to see the kids again.”
