nearvideo Benson: Some in the media Still “Emotionally Invested” in consultation narrative, no Matter How Absurd’
Fox News’ Guy Benson criticized the media for the continuation of the hammer, the Russia agreement narrative, this time at the expense of the National Hockey League star Alexander Ovechkin.
“For some people so emotionally invested in the opposite results, as it seems, you will only bring despair to the Russia story. No matter how absurd, including casting aspersions on the Stanley Cup-champion teams captain under the same roof as the President. It’s ridiculous,” Benson Fox & Friends said on Wednesday.
The Washington Capitals, the reigning Stanley Cup champions, visited the White house on Monday to celebrate their championship with President Trump.
Ovechkin, the captain of the team and playoff MVP, is a Russian. Two of his team-mates are Russian, and he has said in the past that he supports his country and President Vladimir Putin.

The New York Times wrote an article Monday about the visit with the headline: “Washington”, ” Popular Russian (and His colleagues) Honored at the White house.” The story, the mention of the popular hockey star, the relationship with Putin.
“[Ovechkin] has some relations with Vladimir Putin. It was decided in the trump White house and some media, that was worthy of a headline and a story told beyond the parody to be honest,” said Benson.
The co-host of Fox News Radio “Benson & Harf” also pointed out, Democrats will continue to demand the full Mueller report to be published, an idea he supported, but you should not expect, that any other conclusions than what Attorney General William Barr published in a four-page summary on Sunday.
“If Barr, I think in some way a distortion of the basic finding of no collusion, we would have heard of Robert Müller already, he corrected the disc a few times, if he feels like things are unfair,” Benson said. “If someone at the top of the government were misinterpreted, what he found, on consultation, I think he would say something and he didn’t.”

Benson believes that the Democrats and the media now have a lot of answers, and some are clinging to the notion of President Trump agreements with Russia.
“So, some of them are sticking. And other, pretending like this never happened,” Benson said.
“The democratic party has the answers I find a lot of to. But as we have spoken, on the air for the last few days the media, I think that was even worse, and this is where you will see a lot of broken hearts in the last days, people really have to struggle with a difficult reality that the President, in fact, legitimately elected and not a Russian plant.”
