Gurney in third round round world CHAMPIONSHIP darts in thriller down against Lewis

Daryl Gurney is in the third round of the world CHAMPIONSHIP darts off. The number five of the world rankings went on Saturday in a heart-pounding party crashed against Jamie Lewis.

The 32-year-old Gurney went 3-4 in sets down against the five-year-younger Lewis, the no. 28 of the PDC Order of Merit.

In the openingsset were the two pretty well matched, but drew Lewis, the longest at the end. ‘Fireball’ won the second company is easy, and then he a moment later, a few arrows missing for a 3-0-lead.

Gurney struck, however, and brought his deficit back to 1-2. The fourth company he had with Lewis, but then stronger ‘SuperChin” back to 3-3 in sets.

In the decisive set came Gurney with 2-0 in legs to, but he gave up that lead again from the hands. Lewis took the next four legs and was thus 4-2 the strongest.

Lewis found Chisnall in eighth-finals

Lewis takes it in the eighth-finals against Dave Chisnall. The Englishman charged previously Saturday with Kim Huybrechts: 4-0.

Last year, Lewis in the semi-finals of the world cup. Therein, he had to be more recognize in Phil Taylor, who was in the final the last game of his career played and lost to Rob Cross.

Ryan Joyce took his place in the last sixteen. The Englishman, who in the previous round Simon Whitlock surprised, defeated Alan Norris 4-3.

Later on Saturday, with Michael van Gerwen and Jermaine Wattimena is still in action. The global number one hits the German, Max Hopp and Wattimena playing against Gary Anderson.
