Gun owner saves pregnant pizza driver of assault, robbery: police

A pregnant woman suffered light injuries and was taken to a hospital as a precaution after a gun owner stopped her being attacked and robbed, police say.


Talk about being a good neighbor.

A pregnant pizza driver was beaten with a gun by two teenagers in southwest Atlanta on Wednesday night when a gun-possession nearby resident saw the incident and was in action, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Dennis Madaris told the station he drew his weapon and told the suspects, “drop the gun, or I will let you fall,” according to the station.

That is when Madaris said the teens dumped the weapon and took a run.

A 16-year-old boy and the girl were later arrested in connection with the attack. They were accused of assault, possession of a firearm and attempt to commit a robbery, the station reported.

The pregnant woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
