Greener stops at 1 January as head coach handbalsters

Henk Groener stops at 1 January as coach of the Dutch handbalsters. The 55-year-old Leersummer says after seven years to join a new challenge.

That confirms the Dutch Handball Association (NHV) Sunday as a result of news coverage of the NOS. Greener will in december still with Orange to the european CHAMPIONSHIPS in Sweden.

The former international began in 2009 as coach of handbalsters, where he had previously between 2002 and 2005, trainer was of the Orange-men.

Under the Greener grew the national team to a world champions, with the highlight being the silver medal at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS at the end of last year in Denmark.

He led the Orange for the first time in the history of the Olympic Games. In Rio de Janeiro ended the handbalsters in August, when fourth after a defeat against world champion Norway in the battle for the bronze.

Greener was with the Dutch female team also the eighth (2010) and seventh (2012) at the european CHAMPIONSHIPS, and fifteenth (2011) and thirteenth (2013) at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS.
