A great white shark has been caught in Block Island Sound off the coast of Rhode Island on Sunday, according to videos posted on Facebook by a fisherman.
A great white shark was caught on Sunday by a fisherman in Rhode Island waters.
The six-meter shark was captured about 3/4 of a mile off Misquamicut Beach around 12:30 a.m., according to a Facebook post from fisherman Michael Lorello.

Caught in Block Island Sound, close to the beach, in the video we see the shark laying down on a bed of other fish before it starts to flap around.
“He’s still alive,” the fisherman is heard saying on one of the videos as fish are thrown at the shark. “A lot of life in him. … Hit, ‘Shark Week.'”

A second video shows the boat, the crew of the fastening of a rope and chain to the shark before they bring it back in the water.
